Marble can be used for kitchen countertops. Typically it is advisable to hone, or remove the high polish from the surface. Since marble is not as hard as granite it can surface scratch. Honing the surface will minimize the appearance of any small hairline scratches that can be incurred. Sealing marble on an annual basis is recommended.
